Thibaut graduated with honours from a fine arts program in France. He also earned a diploma in Digital Technologies in Design Art Practice from Concordia. In 2007, he became one of the co-founders and partners of Dpt., a creative studio based in Montréal, Canada. He filled the role of film and interactive Director at the studio until 2013. He then founded his own creative studio Gentilhomme specialized in the creation and production of film, interactive experiences, installations and shows that spark the imagination and engage audiences. Since 2009, his advertising and personal work have won various international prizes. In 2012, he was named one of the New York Art Directors Club’s ’Young Guns’ among the best creatives under 30 in the world. Signing and producing world class work with client such as Moment Factory, Cirque du Soleil he has also been collaborating with NFB since the creation of the interactive studio in 2009 with projects like Sacrée Montagne, Code Barre, Echos, Journal of an Insomnia and Haïkus. By bringing together his experience in music, photography, computer programming, animation and film, Thibaut’s practice is truly cross-disciplinary and multi platform. An aggressive perfectionist with a big heart – albeit somewhat selective – Thibaut creates work that is funny, grotesque and sensual. After directing and supervising films, shows and interactive installations for Nine Inch Nails, Katy Perry, Madonna, Elton John, Usher, Ubisoft, Mattel, Tiesto, Qualcomm, Cirque du soleil, Place des arts, Microsoft, Emporium District in Bangkok, Singapore Airport… he is able to direct, manage and produce project of any scale from conception to integration, anywhere in the world.
